WVU SUMMER SESSION TUITION AND FEES (2009)

Undergraduate Tuition and Fees Per Credit Hour

Resident – Tuition and Fees = $214.00* per credit hour

Non-Resident – Tuition and Fees = $658.00* per credit hour

Graduate Tuition and Fees Per Credit Hour

Resident – Tuition and Fees = $315.00* per credit hour

Non-Resident – Tuition and Fees = $908.00* per credit hour

*NOTE: Certain laboratory courses have a lab fee for each course.

Students receive only one statement which includes housing and tuition charges. WVU Financial Aid and any other credits will appear on this statement. Financial Aid that exceeds tuition and housing charges will be mailed to the student’s LOCAL address during the first week of classes. It is extremely important that you keep your local address updated in the Office of Admissions and Records. An address update form is online for your use and convenience.

All students, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional students are required to pay special fees which include Mountainlair Construction fee; Daily Athenaeum fee; Student Affairs fee; Health, Counseling and Program Services fee; Transportation fee; Radio Station fee; Recreation Center fee; and Athletics fee. These fees are prorated on a per credit hour basis. Technology fees are required of all students. Some colleges have additional fees associated with their college.

While only Extended Learning students are not assessed special fees, they are invoiced $40.00 per credit hour for each Extended Learning course and television course. A Graduate Technology Fee of $5.00 or an Undergraduate Technology Fee of $3.00 will also be assessed per credit hour. A Library fee of $3.00 for undergraduates or $5.00 for graduates will also be assessed.

Laboratory fees are assessed to all undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in specific sections of lab courses. All students, full-time or part-time, are assessed the fee for each section enrolled. Assessments are applicable for Fall, Spring, and Summer Terms.

Billing statements are to be paid prior to the first day of the term. Students who fail to pay their tuition and fees or make other financial arrangements will be subject to deletion from classes in which they are enrolled.

Summer Services Fee

WVU students who are not enrolled in summer classes, but want to take advantage of the educational and recreational services provided by the University must satisfy either requirement below:

These services include the following: Recreation Center; computer labs supported by the Information Technology Fee; Libraries; Health Services Center; Carruth Center and other services supported by the Health, Counseling Services and Program fee; recreational and educational services supported by the Student Affairs fee; the PRT; and athletic facilities. To take advantage of these summer services and you meet either requirement above, please contact the Office of Student Accounts to inquire about the Summer Services fee at 304-293-4006.

Non-Sufficient Funds Check Policy

Payments of tuition, fees, and other charges by check, draft or order are subject to WVU’s Non-Sufficient Funds Check Policy.

A copy of the policy is available in the Bursar’s Office. A service charge of $25.00 is collected on each check returned unpaid by the bank upon which it was drawn. Service charge on unpaid, returned check(s) is subject to change in accordance with state law.
